The Ghana Book Trust (GBT) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) in the educational sector that operates as a charity for educational purposes, promoting literacy, librarianship, and skills development in these areas. The organization identifies shortage of books as a major weakness in Ghana's educational system and seeks to address this problem by supplying locally published and imported books to rural schools and libraries and needy urban institutions. The GBT supports various rural library development projects, supplies suitable donated books to schools and community libraries, and trains librarians and teachers.
